By Air
Galway Airport offers an extensive schedule to destinations in Ireland and frequent flights to London Luton, Edinburgh and Manchester in the UK. The airport is only 6km from the city centre or 4km from Oranmore. Although no regular bus service exists taxis are quick and efficent with the average fare around €15.00.

Shannon International is about 1 hours drive from Galway and linked with regular services provided by Bus Eirann and CityLink. Ryanair fly direct to over 25 destinations across the UK and Europe or Aer Lingus to Dublin, London Heathrow and the USA.

By Coach and Bus
Bus travel is often the easiest and best value transport within Ireland. Bus Eirann, CityLink (using the brand new Coach Station) and Bus Nestor all run regular services between Galway and all other parts of the country.

By Rail
Galway station, just off Eyre Square, offers fast, frequent services direct to Dublin Heuston through Irish Rail.
